Police seek help from public after bag snatch

POLICE at Warrington today issued an appeal for help in tracing a youth who stole a woman’s handbag on Saturday, June 4.
The woman was walking along Sankey Way at 3.40pm, as she walked in the subway a male teenager, believed to be around 15 years old, passed her on a bicycle.
He then stopped, placed the bicycle against the wall and pulled her handbag from her shoulder before making off on his bike out of Warrington along Sankey Way.
The boy is described as white, around 5”5 in height, of a slim build and is likely to have ginger hair.
The woman suffered a minor bang to the head buther injuries were not life threatening.
Detective Constable Darren Burns said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the offence take place or may have been in the surrounding areas and seen the boy acting suspiciously, looking through a ladies handbag or trying to discard it.”
