STAFF at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery are celebrating after being awarded a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the fourth year running.
The award, launched in 2010, celebrates businesses which have earned great visitor reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year and winners include hotels, restaurants and attractions all over the world.
This is now the fourth consecutive year Warrington Museum and Art Gallery has been acknowledged for continually delivering a quality customer experience.
Among the sparkling comments and five-star reviews left by visitors was praise for the friendliness of staff and the welcoming atmosphere created for children.
They included: “This is an excellent free attraction, so many interesting local history pieces. A great museum for kids because it isn’t too big and the staff are really friendly.”
Another said: “Had a great time… I enjoyed the gallery dedicated to Mr Smiths and the natural history section. Very nice staff.”
A third comment was: “Lots of interesting things for kids to see and some great activities over the holidays. I loved going to the museum when I was a kid and want my children to be able to appreciate it too.”
When awarding the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor assesses the quality, quantity and recentness of reviews posted by visitors on the website over a 12-month period.
To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
Gemma Johnson, cultural director of Culture Warrington, said: “I’m delighted.
“I know the staff work very hard to provide our visitors with an enjoyable and informative experience and they thoroughly deserve this recognition.
“The fact the award has been won through the positive response of the public makes this an even bigger achievement which the team should be very proud of.”
