Firefighters attended a road traffic collision on the M6 north between junctions 17 and 18, which involves multiple vehicles with one person trapped.
All three lanes of the motorway, northbound, were closed by police while the incident was dealt with.
The road traffic collision involved one coach, three saloon cars and one van and a trailer with one person trapped. 70 people were evacuated from the coach onto an embankment.
