NINE-year-old Sophie De Jong was crowned Rose Queen at Newchurch Parish Church at Culcheth, Warrington.
Sophie is a pupil at Newchurch Community Primary School and is looking forward to her year in office.
She took over from Lucy Stevenson who had fulfilled the role for two years due to a lack of suitably aged girls.
