Four arrested for drug offences after raid on town centre bar

POLICE arrested a total of four people for drug related offences during the early hours of today following a raid on a Warrington town centre bar.

A search warrant was executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the town centre bar where two people were initially arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Following the incident the club on Academy Way closed on a voluntary basis.

Two other arrests were made shortly later in the town centre, also for drug offences.

A fifth person, a 25-year-old male was also arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
