RESIDENTS of Warrington can join in the Queen’s birthday celebrations on Sunday, June 12 from 1pm-3pm.
The borough council is inviting residents to a garden party to celebrate the occasion on the rear lawn at the Town Hall.
Party goers can take their own picnic, music will be played by Warrington Brass and there will be other live entertainment.
St Elphin’s Guides (9th Warrington) will be making cards to send to Buckingham Palace and are inviting Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, members of Senior Section and Trefoil Guild, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and all other youth and youth organisations to join them in their creative endeavour.
Mayor, Cllr Geoff Settle – who last year represented the borough at a Buckingham Palace garden party –  said: “Join us for a free afternoon of family fun, food and entertainment.
“The Queens’ 90th birthday gives us a chance to get together in hopefully
glorious sunshine to celebrate her birthday and her long reign and enjoy the gardens here at the Town Hall.
Places are limited to 500. To reserve a place book online at www.warrington.gov.uk/gardenparty
