Gas boiler blaze

A FIRE involving a gas boiler took fire crews to a hose at Great Sankey, Warrington last night.
The blaze was at a house in Sheffield Close and crews had to isolate gas and electricity supplies before checking the appliance to ensure there were no further areas of fire.
Crews from Warrington and Birchwood were involved in the operation.
In another incident, a crew from Warrington went to a house in Cabul Close, Howley, where a quantity of rubbish was on fire in the garden. They used a hosereel jet to extinguish the blaze.
