Speakers’ club joins forces with university

A WARRINGTON speakers’ club is to lead four workshops as part of Liverpool University’s “Give it a Go” programme which starts  this week.
The workshops focus on verbal and non-verbal communication skills and is aimed at students who will soon by interviewing for jobs, defending their theses and networking within their chosen field.
The first workshop takes place tomorrow (Thursday) at the Student Guild at the university.
It is the second year Warrington Toastmasters has been invited to present workshops as part of “Give it a Go”.
Toastmaster Angela Scott, one of last year’s presenters, said: “We’re happy to support Liverpool University in offering speaking and communication workshops to their students.
“Having a message that’s clear, and delivered well, makes students stand out among the crowd.”

Warrington Toastmasters meet regularly each Monday at 7:30 pm at the Village Hotel, Warrington.
