Factory building will become dance studios

AN imaginative plan to convert an industrial building into two dance studios has been given the go-ahead by Warrington planners.
The scheme involves a unit on the Sankey Bridges Industrial Estate, off Liverpool Road, Great Sankey.
Two nearby residents opposed the scheme on the grounds of inadequate parking provision, increased traffic and road safety issues, noise – particularly of an evening – and loss of mature trees.
Members of the borough’s development management committee were told the change of use would not involve any external alterations to the building.
But additional parking spaces would be provided and the site would be landscaped.
Planning officers said the proposal would not result in detrimental impacts to amenity, highway safety, the character and amenity of the area nor to employment policies.
