Public warned after spate of burglaries

MEMBERS of the public in Frodsham have been warned to secure sheds, garages and outbuildings following an outbreak of burglaries.

PCSO Neil Flanagan said there had been 16 burglaries involving sheds and garages in a month, mainly involving the theft of high value bikes and power tools.

Most were on the Lakes estate and in the Hillside area. Police were investigating and were examining CCTV images

As a result, the police had stepped up their presence in the area with both uniformed and plain clothes officers.

PCSO Flanagan urged residents to improve security.

He said there had been a similar increase in shed and garage burglaries in Helsby and Kingsley.
