MEMBERS of Appleton Parish Council presented a “small token present” to veteran councillor Dot Edwards – to mark her 30 years’ service as a parish councillor.
Dot, from Appleton Thorn, joined the council on December 17 1985 and has served continuously ever since.
She has been chairman of the council on six occasions and is currently a member of the planning committee.
Fellow councillors congratulated her on her achievement – and made the presentation as a “thank you” for her years of service.
