Police issue bogus charity collector warning

POLICE have issued a warning following suspicious activity in the Stockton Heath area of Warrington by a bogus charity collector.

The incident took place at 8pm last night in Hunts Lane, Stockton Heath, when a male knocked on a rear conservatory door claiming to be from the Warrington Rotary Club, collecting money for charity

Inquiries revealed the club did not have a collector out.

He was described as white, 6ft tall, slim, curly hair, aged approx 40’s, wearing a high vis jacket
Anyone with information which could assist police please call on 101, quoting incident 774 of 15/12/2015.
