BIRCHWOOD-based Greg Willetts won an Outstanding Contribution Award at the UK nuclear industry’s annual ceremony.

Greg, Consultancy Director at Amec Foster Wheeler, was one of three winners from the firm on the evening, in front of more than 1,500 guests in London.

His award was presented in recognition of the company’s support for the development of young professionals through its work with the Nuclear Institute’s Young Generation Network.

Clive White, President of Amec Foster Wheeler’s Clean Energy business said: “It is an unprecedented achievement for one company to win all three awards and reflects the outstanding qualities of the people who work for us. I should like to congratulate the winners, whose work exemplifies the best that the nuclear industry has to offer.”

Their other winners were Glasgow-based civil engineer Michael Greenshields, who won Young Professional of the Year, and Richard Crawford, a nuclear analyst and mathematician based in Knutsford, who won the Pinkerton Prize for the best technical paper published in Nuclear Future magazine in 2014.
