WARRINGTON based MBS Site Supplies Ltd is backing the Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) by offering to donate 2.5% of any sale over £200 (ex VAT) to the SPF.
Company MD Carl Oates has also agreed to sponsor a rugby league world record attempt featuring a host of former Warrington Wolves stars in aid of the Foundation.
Lee Briers, Adrian Morley, Garreth Carvell Mike Wainwright and Alan Hunte are part of a group of 38 that will climb Mount Kilimanjaro next month (October) to raise funds and
awareness of the Steve Prescott Foundation.
On their way up, they will attempt to set a new Guinness Book of World Record of highest altitude rugby league match.
Carl, who is sponsoring an MBS flag to go up the mountain got a little emotional listening to the inspirational story of the remarkable Steve Prescott, saying ‘I feel robbed that I never met him.’
Although supportive of his home town team, Carl is a fan of St Helens and has great memories of Steve Prescott during his glory days at the club.
MBS Site Supplies is an independent builders’ merchant with branches in Warrington and Liverpool. Their core target market is smaller, sub-contracting builders who undertake commercial as well as domestic projects.
Once a contractor has passed a £200 milestone in donations to the SPF the contractor’s loyal custom at MBS and in turn support of the SPF will promoted on the SPF website and social media.
This partnership will raise awareness of the support and generosity of MBS and their customers and showcase the SPF and it’s fundraising to a wider audience.
