Fun day at “Bewsey by the Sea”

THERE were cakes, football, face painting and even donkey rides – it was all going on at the “Bewsey by the Sea” community fun day at Bewsey Community Centre.
The event was organised by local volunteers and by Warrington Borough Council’s central neighbourhood team.
Everyone agreed it was a great success.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the council’s lead member for leisure, community and culture, said: “There was lots going on and luckily the rain didn’t come until after the event.
“Children had a great time playing football, getting their faces painted, winning prizes in the raffles and watching the Punch and Judy show.
“I must thank all our volunteers and staff and partners on the day who worked very hard to put this event together and everyone who came to show their support.”
