Four people trapped in car following collision

FOUR people were trapped inside a car following a road traffic collision in Warrington last night.

The incident took place at 18:51 at the junction of Lythgoes Lane and Winwick Road, Warrington

Two fire engines from Warrington attended the incident involving a car and a van.

Four people were trapped in the car. Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and then removed the roof and two sides of the car, so that they could rescue the four people from the car.

The casualties were then handed to the care of paramedics.
