A CULCHETH school girl is to appear in a three-part drama starting on ITV1 on August 30.
Daisy Cooper-Kelly, aged six, a pupil at Twiss Green Primary will appear alongside Ray Winstone and Amanda Redman in “The Trials of Jimmy Rose” – playing Ray Winstone’s granddaughter.
The story tells of hardman Jimmy Rose, played by Winstone, who is released from prison after serving 12 years for armed robbery, to find that his family has been getting on without him.
Amanda Redman plays his long-suffering wife and Daisy plays his granddaughter, India.
Daisy has been attending the Little Stars stage school at Appleton, since she was three and was signed to a Manchester casting agency last year.
She loves all aspects of musical theatre and acting.
She auditioned for the role last summer – only her second ever audition – and got the job!
Filming took place last December in Alderley Edge.
Daisy has also been involved in a Channel 4 show called “Minted” which has yet to be aired.
Other than acting, she loves drawing and painting.
She also attends ballet lessons in Culcheth.
