Police probe fire at Warrington church

POLICE are investigating following a fire which appeared to have been started deliberately at the rear of a church at Warrington.
Fire crews were called to St Mark’s CE Church, in Longshaw Street, Warrington after a fire was discovered involving a quantity of rubbish which had been piled against the back door.
The blaze was extinguished by firefighters using a hose reel jet.
Two fire engines were involved in the operation.
Police were called to the scene and are investigating.
