Home extensions given the go-ahead

PLANNING chiefs have agreed to allow a series of extensions at a house in Eagle Brow, Lymm – despite objections from Lymm Parish Council.
They believe the extensions – single storey and two storey to the front and rear of the property – will improve its appearance and preserve the character of the area.
The parish council had opposed the scheme on the grounds the extensions would make the building too big for the site and would be out of keeping with the surrounding areas, all of which are in a conservation area.
A neighbour also expressed concern over possible overlooking issues.
Officers pointed out the house is scarcely visible from the road.
