Warrington airman at Royal Ascot

AN aircraftman from Warrington was among military personnel from all three services joining race goers at Royal Ascot to raise the profile of Armed Forces Day and Army Benevolent Fund – the soldiers’ charity (ABF).
SAC (T) Ross O’Rourke joined the RAF in 2009 and has spent most of his career as an aircraft technicians where he is currently based, RAF Odiham – home of the Chinook aircraft.
Ross has deployed on operations across the world including Jordan, Norway, America and most recently Afghanistan. This is the second year he has joined fellow military colleagues at Royal Ascot in aid of ABF Soldiers Charity.
Ross said “As a hobby I participate in horse riding so this is an added bonus to be at one of the most famous racecourses in the UK. It is a fantastic engagement opportunity to raise the profile of all three services that are here today.”
