Fire crews tackle bedroom blaze

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a bedroom fire at Warrington this morning.
The blaze was shortly before 8.30am at a house in Haley Road North, Burtonwood.
One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the fire and crews isolated the gas and electricity supplies. A fire investigator was requested to attend the scene.
No-one was hurt.
Earlier, a man was trapped in his car after a collision on the M6/M62 interchange at Birchwood.
Fire crews joined police and ambulance crews at the scene and removed the roof from the vehicle to enable the man to be released.
