TONIGHT’S historic F.A Cup match which sees Warrington Town featuring in
the 1st Round Proper of the world famous competition for the first time
in the club’s history, in front of millions of viewers across the
world, is set to light up the town!
The BBC is launching giant projections of the FA Cup over the weekend to celebrate the start of this year’s tournament, which kicks off tonight as Warrington Town bid to become giant killers as they take on the full-time professionals from Exeter City, in a match being trelevised live on BBC2, kick off 7.55pm.
Projections will appear on key locations in Warrington town centre ahead of the match. The campaign will see images projected on to the Town Hall, Golden Square Shopping Centre and Local Warrington Wolves Rugby Club and will create excitement in the local community.
The activity will also be broadcast on the BBC ahead of tonight’s match.
The campaign with the activity created and planned by MEC, Kinetic and Ambient Media, aims to take the FA Cup back to its grass roots and is part of a larger four-day drive on the BBC, with matches, draws, highlights and live goals as well as coverage from other shows, including The Great British Bake Off’s Mary Berry baking a football-themed cake.

Meanwhile Warrington are at full-strength as they bid to become giant killers by beating a side from four divisions higher.
