WARRINGTON based FDR Law’s fund raising events are doubly sweet for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Staff and clients tucked into coffee and cakes this week in support of the charity’s biggest coffee morning, raising a grand total of £150.
Meanwhile from Monday November 3, FDR Law’s will and probate specialists will be donating their professional services for free with another of the firm’s highly popular charity Will-making Weeks.
Clients will be invited to make a will in return for a small donation to Macmillan. Suggested contribution is £75 for a single will and £125 for a joint will. The firm’s three offices in Warrington, Stockton Heath and Frodsham will be taking part. To make an appointment or for more information please call 01925 230000 or email [email protected].
Macmillan fundraising manager Grace Higgins said: “We are so grateful to FDR Law for raising money for us through their Will Week. The money raised through donations in lieu of a Will makes a huge difference to Warrington people affected by cancer.
“Soon we hope to unveil new cancer services in Warrington including a brand new Information and Support Service. A visit to a cancer information and support centre provides people affected by cancer with the chance to ask questions and talk through their concerns with specialist staff and trained volunteers.
The centres hold booklets and leaflets about cancer and information on financial support. Many centres have benefits advisers available to help and some offer complementary therapies too.
The money that is raised from FDR Law will be used to ensure Macmillan continue to offer these services.”
