MOTORISTS are being warned to expect some delay when improvement works start on Battersby Lane, Warrington, later this month.
The work will be carried out along Battersby Lane from the Cockhedge Green roundabout to Marsh House Lane and will involve resurfacing of the carriageways and construction of raised kerb bus stops.
It is expected to take about four weeks and will be done in sections to allow local access as far as practical.
The work will be carried out Monday to Friday, 9.15am to 3.30pm.
Traffic will be diverted via Marsh House Lane, Padgate Lane, Manchester Road or Orford Lane, Lythgoes Lane. Both routes will be sign posted.
Access to premises affected by the work will be under control of the contractor.
Buses will be diverted along Lythgoes Lane and Orford Lane while Battersby Lane is closed.
Details will be posted on bus stops and on the Network Warrington website.
