Panto promises to be family classic

THE annual Parr Hall pantomime promises to be one of the best yet, with traditional family favourite Cinderella.
Running from Friday January 3 until Sunday January 12, Cinderella is the lovely daughter of Baron Hardup. Unfortunately, Cinderella’s ugly stepsisters are jealous of Cinderella’s beauty and they treat her like a slave.
One day Cinderella helps an old gypsy woman who promises that she will be rewarded for the kindness she has shown. Cinderella also meets Prince Charming and falls madly in love with him. Soon the eligible young Prince invites everyone to a grand ball, but the Ugly Sisters force Cinderella to stay at home.
Suddenly, a Fairy Godmother appears and with a wave of her wand transforms Cinderella into a beautiful princess, fit to go to the ball. However, she warns Cinderella to be back home before midnight or her beautiful clothes will turn back into rags.
Cinderella becomes the belle of the ball and Prince Charming falls in love with this mysterious princess. But she almost forgets the Fairy Godmother’s warning and has to run away from the ball just before midnight to avoid being discovered. In her haste she leaves behind one of her crystal slippers.
The Prince searches far and wide across the country to see whose foot fits the crystal slipper. Eventually, Cinderella is reunited with her Prince and in the true tradition of fairy tales, everyone lives happily ever after.
The perfect way to describe a Parr Hall pantomime is ‘non-stop entertainment from start to finish’.
