Warrington smokers top quit list

SMOKERS in Warrington have a better chance of quitting than anywhere else in the country.
During 2012/13, 1536 people using LiveWire’s stop smoking service set a quit date, of which 1204 were successful, resulting in a 78.4% success rate – the highest nationally.
In comparison the rate for England as a whole was 51.6%; whilst for the North West it was 47.6%.
Alan Yates, LiveWire Chairman, said: “We are really proud of the diverse programmes we run at LiveWire and the relationships we build with people who use these. We offer stop smoking drop-ins and one to one sessions at different sites and times all around Warrington, providing the opportunity for anyone to come along.”
