A helping hand at maths

BUDDING mathematicians at Newchurch Primary School, Warrington, got a helping hand from accountancy firm Hunter Healey during “maths week.”
Practice manager Alicia Flint spent a morning with some of the Year 4 pupils, helping with various mathematical problems.
At the end of the session, the group discussed spend or save strategies facing business everyday as relevant to their pocket money and Hunter Healey piggy banks were gifted to the whole class to encourage them to start saving.
Alicia said: “It was great to be invited into the classroom to work with the children and we’re hoping to see some young entrepreneurs as clients in the future!”
