A MAN was robbed in a Warrington underpass by two men who held a knife at his throat.
The terrified 28-year-old, from Padgate, was made to empty his wallet himself and the thugs then ran off with the cash.
Police are appealing for witnesses of the incident which occurred at 7.15pm on Wednesday, October 30 in the Vicarage Underpass on Station Road, Padgate.
The man was walking home from Padgate railway station and was through the underpass when he was grabbed from behind by the two offenders.
He was spun around, a Stanley knife was held to his throat and his attackers demanded money.
DC Stephen Deehan said: “The victim was made to empty his wallet himself and the robbers made off with the cash.”
The victim received superficial cuts to the right side of his face and swelling to his eye in the attack.
One of the attackers was about 6ft tall, of gangly build with a large, crooked nose which looked as though it had been broken in the past.
He had dark coloured eyes with bags under them and ears which stuck out, and dark hair.
He was wearing a dark blue hooded top with the hood pulled up and a navy blue snood pulled up over the tip of his nose. He wore black gloves and he spoke with a Warrington accent.
The second man was about 5ft 10 inches tall, of slim build. He had a hood pulled right down to his eyebrows and piercing blue eyes. He was also wearing a navy blue snood pulled up to the tip of his nose, and a navy blue or black hooded top which may have had a zip up the front of it, and black gloves.
Both attackers were aged in their late 20s to mid-30s. Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
