WORKERS at Warrington aluminium recycling plant Novelis carried out volunteer work for a local charity as part of the firm’s second annual “Volunteer Month.
Across Europe, company employees volunteered 2,000 hours to support local communities.
In Warrington, the work consisted of making improvements to buildings and the garden centre of a charity which provides employment opportunities for learning-disabled adults.
President of Novelis Europe Erwin Mayr said: “Novelis is committed to supporting efforts that promote safety, math and science education,
recycling and environmental awareness, to ensure the best possible opportunities for the next generation.
“Our employees at Novelis are excited to be a part of this initiative and are working to make a real difference in our communities.”
