A SPECTACULAR crash on the M6 near Lymm earlier today caused gridlock on many roads leading into Warrington.
The incident between Lymm and Knutsford involved a Ferrari car crashing into an Audi, causing it to fly over the central reservation, landing on top of an Astra car travelling in the opposite direction.
The Audi was then struck by a lorry. The male driver had to be cut from the vehicle by firemen and was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital. A female passenger in the Ferrari was also taken to hospital.
Meanwhile a lorry which broke down on the M62 added to the traffic congestion.
