Dozens of nominations were received for the six awards, which were organised by NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in partnership with Primary Care Nurse Education Programme “Practice Makes Perfect”, recognising staff for their commitment and outstanding levels of care and consideration towards patients.
Dr CPM Ali was recognised for 28 years of caring for patients in Warrington by being given the Long-Term Service award.
Nominated by his practice, Dr Ali who retired at the end of August was described as being a traditional family doctor who has throughout the years cared for generations of families.

In addition to the award winners, two nominees were highly commended for their work in Primary Care. These were Andrea Brinksman for her long-term service, commitment and dedication to General Practice and Paula Wilson for giving up her time freely to ensure that patients in Warrington always received good quality care – no matter which practice they were visiting.
Dr Andy Davies, Local GP and chairman of Warrington CCG, said: “Congratulations to all of the award winners and of those staff who were nominated. This is a great opportunity to celebrate all the hard work that goes on unrecognised every day in primary care, particularly all the efforts that our local doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals and CCG staff are putting into caring for the local community and ensuring that they receive the best possible healthcare.”
