WARRINGTON Saloon car racing driver Richard Roundell is celebrating after winning the 2013 Class ‘E’ Championship in the CNC Heads Sports/Saloon Championship Races.
Richard was competing in the final round of the Season at The BARC (British Automobile Racing Club North West Centre) National Car and Kart Championship Race Day at Oulton Park at the weekend.
Finishing 4th in Class ‘E’ with both his races gave him the outright class Championship for 2013.
“It’s a long hard season and I have had some good and bad luck but things came good in the end and I am very pleased to have taken the Championship class win” said Richard after the races.
He was driving throughout the season in his familiar yellow number 11 Vauxhall Vectra/2498 and supported as usual by his family who travel to most of his races.
Away from the race track Richard works in the family garage business in Milner Street, Warrington.
After his victory Richard said: ” I would like to thank David Roundell Services and Rock Oil for supporting me and supplying me with the necessary knowledge, equipment and high performance products to ensure I finished 100 per cent of my races consistently and with good results.”
