A MAN was pushed to the ground, kicked and robbed in a 3.30am attack at Warrington.
The robbery took place in Knutsford Road as the 36-year-old victim was walking home from the town centre.
He was approached from behind, pushed to the ground and then kicked. He suffered a fractured arm and cuts to his forehead, knees and elbow.
While he lay helpless on the floor the attacker stole his wallet and mobile phone from his pocket – demanding the pin number of the mobile.
He then ran off towards Black Bear Bridge.
Police are currently piecing together as much information as possible about the attack on September 14 in a bid to trace the offender.
Anyone with any information, which could assist with their enquiries, is urged to get in touch.
DC Deborah Morgan said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information about what happened to come forward. Although the incident took place in the early hours of the morning it was in a built up residential area so there is a chance that someone in the local area may have seen or heard something significant, which could assist with our enquiries. If this is the case then we would urge you to make contact with us.”
Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
