Millennium Green picnic

0

THE annual Lumb Brook Millennium Green picnic was again a great success, with people from Appleton, Stockton Heath and surrounding areas turning up for a day of fun.
Adults and children were able to enjoy sports and there was food and drink on sale in aid of the Millennium Green.
The green is a free, open space managed by volunteers on behalf of the charity and financed by donations, with support from Appleton Parish Council and local schools, as a “natural breathing space” for local people.
It has been awarded a Green Flag for the last two years.
The charity’s annual meeting will be held on October 29 and more information is available www.millenniumgreen.moonfruit.co.uk
