Spray paint plan withdrawn

A PLAN to change the use of a storage buildingn for paint spraying has been withdrawn after 16 nearby
residents lodged objections.
The development was proposed for the Brit Tipp premises in Bank Hall Park, Wharf Street, Howley,
Warrington.
But the application was withdrawn by the company before it was considered by the borough council’s
planning committee.
Officers were recommending that the retrospective application be approved.
They said Brit Tipp had occupied adjoining buildings for 20 years and operated the site in accordance
with the permit conditions.
Although there had been a number of complaints in 2007 and 2008, there had been none recently and provided the site was operated in line with its permit, the continued use of two spray booths was acceptable.
