Flats plan for old care home

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have put off a decision on an application for permission to convert a former NHS in-patient unit to seven flats.
The proposed development involves Fourways, in Twiss Green Lane, Culcheth.
The three-storey building is at the corner of Stainforth Close and Twiss Green Lane.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council objects to the proposal on the grounds ofinadequate parking likely to cause on-street parking in the immediate vicinity.
They were also concerned about the addition of windows in the roof to form a fourth floor.
One nearby resident also objected on the grounds of inadequate parking.
Officers recommended the scheme for approval but members of the borough council’s planning committee decided to defer the application pending further talks with the applicant.
The property was most recently used as a care home.
