  1. Warrington & Co’s website says it ” brings together the private and public sector to promote economic development and physical regeneration in Warrington, under the guidance of a private sector-led board.

The creation of more business districts, sustainable neighbourhoods, better transport and IT connectivity and a shift to place rather than product marketing, form an ambitious economic and sociaopefully bring l development programme for Warrington that will ensure the town builds on it successes and continues to enhance its regional role.”

All are very admirable aims to hopefully bring prosperity to the town. But where do WBC’s role and W & Co’s begin and end? Which of them decides what is best for the town and its citizens an unelected private board or those we elect to look after our interests? Where do the functions of costly council departments fit into this scene? Will they become redundant as W & Co’s role gets greater? This is not a criticism, but a request for further explanation.
