Roy's walk in memory of wife

AN annual walk in aid of breast cancer research and organised by a husband in memory of his late wife is set to take place again on Sunday, October 27.
The walk is organised by Roy Kettle, of Grappenhall and has raised more than £25,000 over the last eight years.
The three-mile walk will start from Grappenhall Community Centre at 11am.
Mr Kettle lost his wife, Susan, to breast cancer in 2003 and since then he has organised a sponsored walk around Grappenhall every year.
He said: “Susan fought hard to beat this cancer, but sadly was beaten by it in 2003. Since then I have tried to help others beat breast cancer by organising this annual walk so that everyone can contribute to the charity by raising money themselves.
“If anyone would like to join in or requires more information, then please contact me on 01925 262851 or email [email protected]
