TOP selling children’s author Tom Palmer is hosting an afternoon full of fun activities at Orford Park Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
As well as introducing his latest children’s novel ‘Scrum’, Tom and the neighbourhood hub have organised a series of games and activities for the family on Thursday 15th August.
The afternoon will include a new rugby reading game, which features a quiz about reading, drawn from newspapers, magazines and books about the sport. Those who answer questions correctly will compete in an indoor penalty competition; the winner will receive a trophy presented by Tom himself. Not only will there be some great activities taking place, Tom will also speak about how he became an author and offer advice on how to become a great writer.
Christine Everett, children’s development librarian at LiveWire, said: “This will be a great day for the whole family to come along and get involved in. Tom is a great author and is a genius for coming up with the rugby reading game; it’s a fun and creative way for children to start reading.”
The event is split into sessions 2.00pm – 3.00pm and 3.30pm – 4.30pm. Children are completely free and adults only £1 each. Please note, entry will only be permitted on a ticket only basis, visit your local LiveWire Library to purchase.
