£14,000 raised for hospital

MOBILITY specialists Millercare has raised more than £14,961 for Manchester’s Christie Hospital.
The company – with premises at the junction of Kingsway South and Manchester Road, Warrington – raised the money as part of its sixtieth anniversary celebrations.
Fundraising events that took place during the anniversary year included a casino night, spice night, family fun day, barbeque, tandem skydive, running the Manchester Marathon and even a charity car wash.
The year was closed with a charity gala dinner at The Renaissance in Manchester which was attended by more than 250 guests, including staff, suppliers and customers.
Guests were welcome by managing director Nick Buchanan who announced that the original target of £10,000 had been far exceeded and in fact the final total was £14961.33.
