A 40mph speed limit and footpath closure is to come into force on the A56 Chester Road, Warrington from Friday, August 9 to enable construction work to take place in connection with the Creamfields music festival.
The restrictions will affect the road from the borough boundary with Halton to the junction with Old Chester Road and Runcorn Road.
They will remain in place for four weeks when signs are in place on site.
Alternative footpath routes will be signposted.
