ART and Design students at Warrington Collegiate have been invited to exhibit their work at Warrington Museum and Art Gallery over the summer from July 20 til October 12.
The news comes following the successful launch of the Student Art Gallery in the Learning Resource Centre at the college, which exhibits outstanding student work over the year.
Gail Stubbings, Lecturer in Art and Design, at Warrington Collegiate said: “I’m so grateful to Derek Dick, Operations and Development Manager at Warrington Art Gallery and Museum, for this wonderful opportunity for these talented young artists from the Warrington area.
“I invited Derek to the launch of the Student Gallery Exhibition and following that he came to visit the art classes and talk to the students about their work. He was really impressed with the quality and diversity of the students work and invited them to have this space in Warrington Art Gallery over the summer.”
Students exhibiting are Blake O’Donnell, Leon Weedon, Lauren Treble, Michael Clarke, Charlie Eden, Paisley Fairhurst, Liam Cartledge , Emma Bromley, Molly Kenyon, Luke Gandy and Emerald Mushchamp.
Some of the students are in their final year and will be going to university in September. Charlie Eden is going to study Fine Art at Leeds College of Art and Michael Clarke will be going to Edgehill University to take a degree in Film Studies and Production.
