POLICE have launched a public appeal to help find a 60-year-old Warrington man who has not been seen since Saturday morning after leaving home to buy a newspaper.
Concerns are growing for the wellbeing of Stephen Evans who left his house on Hilary Close, Great Sankey, at around 8.30am on Saturday (July 6), for a paper but never returned.
He was last seen by his partner who is extremely upset and concerned as his disappearance is extremely out of character.
Stephen is described as white, 5ft 10in tall of stocky build. He has a bald head, a grey beard and blue eyes. He was wearing a grey and white striped polo shirt with jeans, and left in his car, a silver BMW Tourer.
Inspector Neil Drum said: “We have followed a number of lines of inquiry since Stephen was reported missing to us on Saturday and are now extremely concerned that no one seems to have seen or heard from him in three days. He did not show up for his expected shift in work last night and we are now hoping the public will be able to help us.
“I would also appeal to Stephen himself get in touch and let us know you are safe.”
Anyone with any information about Stephen’s whereabouts, or indeed Stephen himself, is urged to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 1242 of 6 July.
