A Warrington store is bidding to break a kissing world record by collecting ‘cruelty free’ kisses this Saturday (July 6) as part of a worldwide campaign to tackle animal testing.
International Kissing Day, (July 6), will see shoppers gather at the Lush store in Warrington’s Golden Square Shopping Centre in an attempt to break the world record for the ‘most kisses collected in 12 hours’.
Staff from the store will be treating supporters to mini pamper sessions using the store’s ‘cruelty free’ lip products before collecting kiss imprints for
the record breaking attempt.
Lush Trainee Manager James Newall said: “The fight against animal testing is something that Lush as a company is very passionate about and this ‘cruelty free’ kisses campaign is worldwide.
“Our customers have always shown an overwhelming amount of support for our initiatives, and I have no doubt that we will see that same commitment this weekend.”
Customers are invited to join the team from 12pm on Saturday and the first ten people to get involved will receive free lip care products from Lush.
The current world record is 22,174 and was achieved in 2010 by Oriflame cosmetics company at 89 locations in Slovakia.
