A colourful run for Millie

A TEAM from Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School will be running in The Colour Run in Manchester on July 21.
The Colour Run is a five-kilometer, untimed race in which thousands of participants are doused from head to toe with different colours at each kilometre.
The fun continues at the finishing line with a gigantic “Colour Festival” using more coloured powder to create happiness and lasting memories – not to mention millions of vivid colour combinations.
The Boteler team of pupils Sam Osborne, Hannah Holliday, Jake Singleton Bennicke and Hayden Vallender, parent Mrs Joanne Singleton Bennicke and staff Neil Vallender and Shirley Meldrum, will be running for Millie’s Trust, a charity established following the tragic loss of nine-month-old Millie Thompson in a choking incident at a nursery in October last year.
The charity’s aim is to promote Paediatric First Aid awareness and provide courses to those who could not otherwise afford them or know where to look for them.
