Council opposes home extension

A PARISH council has objected to proposals by a householder for a two storey extension at the front of his house at Warrington.
Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council says it is concerned about the height and massing of the extension at a house in Thompson Avenue, Culcheth.
Two objections have also been received from neighbours.
The plan involves introducing two habitable rooms at the front of the house. But a distance of more than 21m would be maintained to the dwellings directly opposite.
Planners say the extension will not project beyond the main front elevation of the house next door, because of the staggered nature of the houses, They are recommending the scheme be approved.
The matter will be considered by the borough council’s planning committee on Wednesday, May 29.
