Kitchen blaze

FIRE crews were called to a house at Fearnhead, Warrington, following reports of a blaze in the kitchen.
Two fire engines attended the incident in Capenhurst Avenue and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the outbreak using a hose reel jet.
Damage was confined to the kitchen and no-one was hurt.
In another incident, fire crews were called to Bennett’s Recreation Ground at Padgate after reports of a fire involving a portable building.
In fact, the blaze turned out to involve rubbish piled up against a metal container. One hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
