THREE men have been arrested following a serious sex attack on a 36-year-old woman at Warrington.
The assault took place at a hotel in Kendrick Street in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday).
The arrested men, aged 22, 25 and 32, are from Leicester and are currently being held in custody.
But detectives are anxious to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the attack between 3am and 5am.
They are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of a passing white or light coloured van which the woman flagged down in Warrington.
The occupants are believed to be male and were wearing florescent work clothing. A police spokeswoman said: “They may have some vital information which would assist with this investigation.”
The victim is being supported by specialist officers from the Cheshire Police dedicated rape unit.
Anyone with information should contact DC Melanie Taylor on 101 or, alternatively information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
