Fury at take away plan

LOCAL residents and councillors are furious after a planning application was once again submitted for a take away on Orchard Street in Fearnhead.
Several previous attempts to gain permission have failed, and now Cllr Billy Lines-Rowlands is working with local residents to get their objections together.
Usually there would be a 21 day waiting time for planning officers to recommend a refusal or approval, but in this instance the issue will go straight to committee stage.
Cllr Lines-Rowlands said: “I have instructed the planning officers to take this straight to committee stage so the residents have their say and so we can be fighting this pro-actively.
“We cannot afford any date misses, poor judgment or lack of concentration on this. The residents are fully against this application and we must take control of this and have our voices heard by using the resources we have. The only way forward and the most sensible way forward is to take this to the committee and see it off for good. I will be writing to resident once the committee date is confirmed, in the meantime I urge resident with objections to put pen to paper and get their objections open.”
