Motor cyclist hurt in crash

POLICE at Warrington today appealed for witnesses of a road crash which left a motor cyclist with serious injuries.
The 31-year-old was airlifted to Aintree Hospital, Liverpool, following the crash in Penketh Road, Great Sankey shortly after 6pm last night.
He was said to have suffered serious injuries.
The accident involved the motor cycle and a car driven by a 34-year-old woman. She was not injured but was extremely shaken.
Police said it appeared the motor cyclist had lost control of his machine which careered across the central reservation and into the path of the car which was travelling in the opposite direction.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101.
